V Lounge used to be my go-to dessert and hang-out place in Canley Heights back during my uni days. After Holy Basil and Green Peppercorn, V Lounge was one of the first places to do the fried ice cream cigars with a thin pastry wrapper on the outside instead of the crumbs that you used to get on your fried ice cream balls at a Chinese restaurant. But wow, has dessert innovation and beautiful Insta-worthy desserts come so far since those days!

All that I can say is that our desserts tasted as good as they looked and even my non-dessert loving dining companion (yes, apparently they do exist!) really enjoyed his matcha tiramisu. Even with our beautiful desserts, we also couldn’t stop ourselves watching other people’s desserts go past including several options which featured enviable liquid nitrogen fun.
