The first time I drove past The Burger Garage, I almost pulled over because I thought it was a car wash station. Located on Kingsgrove Road in Belmore at a traffic light intersection, with cars parked tightly on the property, I feel like I can almost justify why I was deceived. For the record, every time I have driven past on the weekend since that day, The Burger Garage has been pretty busy.
The Burger Garage is interesting – its website tells me that it is a “Women built, women owned and women operated burger place, bar & coffee establishment.” Well, I’m more than happy to try a feminist-leaning burger.
There is a decent selection of burgers with classic cheeseburgers, beef and chicken burgers. They also have some special burgers and I am never one to resist a special chicken burger. The Gangnam burger is assumedly Korean-inspired with honey soy chicken, Asian slaw and a sweet chilli lime mayo. Verdict? Pretty good, a decent size, the chicken is tender and well marinated and the bun is soft (and none of this sweet brioche bun business that I detest!). I rate the fries too. Decently priced at about $10 a burger, and slightly more for a meal with fries and a drink.

Three other great things about this establishment. 1. They serve alcohol 2. They have old arcade game machines 3. They have Tabasco.
